Home Based Recruiting - Networking with other Recruiters
Why should I network with other recruiters?
Networking with other recruiters is beneficial for several reasons. They can be an excellent source of candidates for your clients or a new trading partner to share your candidates with for their clients.
How do I find other recruiters in my field?
Perform a simple search on your favorite job board (www.careerbuilder.com) or www.google.com and search for other recruitment firms that have job postings for positions in your industry. Contact them and establish a relationship and agree upon a 50-50 split fee agreement with them. This is a “win-win” situation for both parties.
My first experience of networking with other recruiters and learning about the “split fee”process was when I joined a national association of Independent recruiters. There is one particular association that I prefer and that is “www.topechelonnetwork.com “. They currently have about 1500 members that recruit in every industry imaginable and provide a top notch split network organization. I would suggest visiting their site and researching other split networks.
I always remember some excellent advice that was given to me years ago from my wife, “Learn to co-broke or go broke.” Sort of stuck with me over the years and networking with fellow recruiters still provides a major source of my income.

employees in your chosen industry?
If yes, start contacting them and find out if they are currently utilizing the services of outside recruiters. If they are, this could be an excellent opportunity for you to offer your services as a recruiter and jump start your home based recruiting business.
Or
Are you are currently an independent recruiter interested in co-broking and expanding your network with additional recruitment firms?
