oweaponx asked: Are the commercials we see on TV for recruiting into the military commercials, or are they Public Service Announcements? List sources, if you can. Thanks!
Daze, or anyone else who may know, how much does the services put into their advertising?
Also, do you think they may sponsor tv/radio programming?
One more part. Does anyone know where I can find the statistics, by branch, for advertising? Thanks to everyone who’s responded!

Lizzie asked: Is there a way to sign up for the ASVAB without going through the recruiting station? I am planning on joining the military but I have weight to lose first so I don’t really want to go through a recruiter yet. So does anyone know if it is possible to take the ASVAB without going to a recruiter and if you do where and how?

Aaron asked: I don’t think telling one of your friends to join the Marine Corps should get you promoted. You did absolutely nothing. The people getting promoted are now responsible for other people’s lives, but had no training. If I knew someone who is responsible for my life got promoted for recruiting someone else, I would not feel safe with them.

Maybe that’s why the media quit telling about that puppy and started showing stories of marines bringing puppies home. Do you agree?

Erudite Air Force/Navy asked: Sign in front of the Marine recruiting station. Join and make Obama proud. There were so many people trying to join they ran out of recruiters to interview the fine young men.
This happened in Mt Clemens Michigan.
Under the old sign no one lined up. ( The Bush sign )

bittsen2000 asked: My new Marine has been put on recruiting assignment. They have asked him to recruit 2 new Marines in the next 2 weeks.
Other than going to the schools, is there anything he can do to help recruit people for the Marines?

P.S. I won’t even look at the replies that bash the war on terror. I am not in favor of how we got into the mess but I do realize that the US needs a military and am proud that my son has made the choice to serve his country.
