auntb93again asked: I went to a school this summer that was in an office building where the Marine recruiting station was by the elevator door. I got to talking to the recruiting officers, and observing their office, and even reading their pamphlets while I sat and ate my sandwich. I found out some amazing things, and one of them was what truly professional Marines we have now that there is no draft. I also saw the same sense of professionalism and pride at the other recruiting offices, which were in the same building. An all-volunteer military has been one of our better ideas. I prayed for that since the 1960s, and I’m so proud to see it worked.
Did you know you don’t have to be contemplating joining up yourself, or even be eligible to join, just to go in and ask questions and pick up pamphlets?
And yes, I think we have the best military service in the world, with the possible exception of the Swiss.

Hooah asked: since the military is mostly male dominated, and there is a higher demand for males, are recruiters paid more for recruiting a male than a female?

Ashlee R asked: Will we be able to pick where we go after he leaves recruiting school or at least have a say in it? Under the impression we would be here at Ft. Campbell for awhile, we bought a house and now he’s being sent off to Army Recruiting School in Ft. Jackson, Alabama. Will we be able to pick where we get stationed afterwards? I’m not ready to sell the house!

Ian asked: I would like to go into the military as either a military police or something of that sort. I went to the navy recruiter and he said they are pretty much shut down or something so they are only hiring Seals and Nukes. The Marines are out of my league, so if anyone knows if either the army air force or navy is recruiting law enforcement jobs, please let me know? Also, if anyone has been a law enforcement in the military please let me know, so we could talk about some stuff. Thanks!

Pean asked: if you signed up for the army and the next day had a change of heart do you have a right, or certain amount of time to revoke it. I know theirs other legal documents that allow a 3 day grace period to change your mind. This is very important for me to find out. Thank you!

Forest A asked: As it is, I am still in the DEP for the army. As of now, I have told my recruiter and sent a letter to my recruiting commander at the MepS station that I wish to be released from the army DEP to go to a different branch. How long does the process of being released from the DEP take?
